Ramayana ch-2( part -4)

 Welcome dear friends to another episode of Ramayana . In the previous episode we learnt how the sons of Ravana  were killed and how his brother kumbakarna was killed. Shattered that He lost his brother and sons , Ravana decides to send his only surviving son Meghnad to the battlefield . The next day of war came, Meghnad hid behind the clouds and starts attacking the Vanara army. Rama and Lakshmana soon came to know meghnad was behind this invisible attack . They tried to locate him  but Meghnad started to shoot invisible snake arrows  on Rama and Lakshmana . Both of them were coiled but broke free . Rama and Lakshmana started a fight with Meghnad . Finally , Meghnad took out Nagpash astra and shot Lakshmana with it . He laughed and vanished from the spot . Rama hurried towards his brother crying to see him in an unconcious fate. Jambavan replied "do not worry Rama . The sanjeevni mountains from the Dronagiri mountains of the himalyan region can cure Lakshmana .  Rama turned to hanuman saying " Hanuman you must go to fetch the herb". Hanuman flew and started going to Dronagiri mountains". Ravana however saw Hanuman flying through his palace and knew he was out to look for the sanjeevni herb. He ordered demon Kalnemi , the son of Maricha to go and stop Hanuman from getting the herb . When Hanuman reached Dronagiri mountain . Kalnemi who was already there , disguised as a rishi and told Hanuman that he first has to bath in that river . obeying so Hanuman started to bath in the river . Kalnemi summoned a crocodile to go kill hanuman but as it tried to swallow  Hanuman but  he pushed the mouth of the crocodile  which killed it  and transformed into a magical being. She thanked Hanuman for saving her from the curse and also told it was Kalnemi in disguise as a rishi. The demon tried to give poisnous food when hanuman completed his bath . But  Hanuman told he knew his identity and  then caught im by his leg swong him three times and threw him and the demon flew to Ravana 's court where he died assuming he true form.
